Execution Chamber at Tokyo Detention House

The Justice Ministry opened the execution chamber at the Tokyo Detention House to the media for the first time on August 27, 2010.

At the time of the execution, three correctional officers push each button all at once. It remains hidden from view which button opened the trap door.
